Whether you are simply feeling under parr, or are living with chronic illness, Ayurveda teaches us that a  programme of cleansing and rejuvenation is one of the best things we can give to ourselves, to reduce symptoms in body and mind,  and to enhance longevity.

This programme offers all of this. 

When we are living with chronic illness,  Ayurveda understands that a cleanse and rejuvenation programme will be an essential part of our healing and recovery.

This 10 day programme, allows you to detoxify, reset and rejuvenate your body and mind from the comfort of your own home, or away from home distractions on a residential option. 

Plus, you will have Sara’s full guidance and support so that you can get the best possible results.  

What Happens on The Ayurveda Rejuvenation Programme?

Once you have booked your place on the Ayurveda Rejuvenation Programme, you will be asked to complete two assessment forms and we will schedule your initial consultation. 

The consultation can be online or in person.

In the consultation, we will explore your Ayurveda type, your health goals, and the root cause of any  symptoms you may be experiencing.

This helps Sara to put together the personalised elements of your rejuvenation programme. 

According to findings in the consultation, Sara will create a ten day programme of dietary, herbal, Yoga, meditation,and body treatment protocols for you.

The treatment protocols:

  • Reduce excess doshas (humours)
  • Optimise your digestive capacity.
  • Boost your metabolic function.
  • Remove toxins from deep in the body tissues.
  • Strengthen the body, pacify the mind, and restore balance to the whole system. 

Days 1-3, You will prepare for the cleanse part of the programme at home, as you transition to a simple, Ayurveda way of eating. You will have full guidance for this with recipes and shopping list. 

Days 4 -9, You will transition onto the cleanse and rejuvenation special foods and herbs, whilst also having (5 optional) body treatments with Sara. 

Day 9 or 10, there is the option to do a gentle purgation to expel toxins released into the gut during the cleanse process. You will have full guidance for this procedure. 

When the 10 days are complete, we meet for a follow-up consultation (online or in person) to create a manageable longer-term plan for you. The weeks and months immediately following the  Rejuvenation Programme, are a time to focus on building renewed vitality, strength and resilience now that your body and mind have been brought back into balance, symptoms reduced and toxins expelled.

During these months, you will be prescribed herbs, nutrition and lifestyle protocols to support the regeneration of your body tissues and the accompanying increase in health and wellbeing.

When Is the Best Time to Take the Programme?

The great thing about this programme is that you can take it at the time that best suits your schedule, and when you really feel ready in body, mind and spirit to put time aside for YOU.

However, you might also like to bear in mind that Ayurveda recommends seasonal cleansing and rejuvenation, and that the best time is said to be at times of seasonal juncture (as we transition from one season to the next). 

This is because each season is goverened by a particular dosha (humour)  which means that, especially if we have that dosha in our constitutional type, that dosha can increase in us. And it can increase to the extent that it starts to cause excess dosha-related symptoms. 

As we transition from one season, it is the best time to remove accumulated dosha (humour) from the body, as well as toxins that have gathered in our system over time.

A sample day may look like this.

  • On waking, follow special morning routines including oleation therapy to help release old fats and toxins from the liver.
  • Take your personalised herbs as instructed. 
  • Drink a glass of warm water and sip boiled warm water throughout the day. 
  • Oil the body and/or apply the Ayurveda herbal body scrub.
  • Leave the oils and scrub on for 15 minutes whilst you practice a 20 minute cleansing and energising breath practice, and empowering guided meditation.
  • Shower to remove the oils and scrub
  • Enjoy your personalised Yoga practices or a pre-recorded special Cleanse and Rejuvenate 30 minute Yoga class
  • Breakfast as directed for your Ayurveda type and symptoms.
  • A prescribed Ayurveda body treatment
  • Mid-morning herbal tea
  • Lunch
  • Mid-afternoon tea and light snack
  • Supper
  • Restful quiet evening, sometimes with suggested meditation and breath practices.

  • An Initial Consultation:  In Ayurveda, we understand that “one shoe does not fit all”. And so we adapt this programme to suit your individual Ayurveda constitutional type and current symptoms.

Preparation: The first 3 days of the programme are structured to prepare your body and mind for the Cleanse programme by removing any processed foods and stimulants such as sugar, caffeine, and alcohol from your daily diet. This is a time for fresh, cooked fruits and vegetables, whole grains, pulses, nuts, seeds and cold pressed organic oils. We ease you gently into the programme with special Ayurveda seasonal recipes, and you will begin to take small doses of the cleansing herbs and teas, and to apply some of the other programem protocols.

Body Treatments: Your personalised body treatments are a crucial part of the cleanse and rejuvenation programme. These are not to be confused with well-being massages. They are therapeutic and are carried out with herbalised oils and powders made and selected just for you. They may begin on day 1 or 5 and continue until day 9. 


  • The Cleanse: The cleanse itself really starts on day 4, and will run for 4-5 days. During this time you will be mainly on a vegetarian diet of grains, legumes, vegetables, and unleavened breads (where appropriate), all cooked in spice blends formulated according to the season and possibly adapted to suit your personal needs. During these days, you will also be special herbal teas and your herbal prescriptions at meals times and in-between to help cleanse the blood, lymph and internal organs, and support good elimination throughout the programme.


  • The Castor Oil Flush: This day of the cleanse programme is scheduled to fall on a Saturday so you can be at home. You will be asked to eat lightly and early on the previous evening. Early the next morning you will take a drink of castor oil, mixed with ginger tea on an empty stomach. This will empty out the bowels, carrying with it toxins which have been released during the programme and this sometimes include parasites and fungus. In some cases, it is not appropriate to do the castor oil cleanse and this will be decided through the preliminary consultation.


  • Ending the Cleanse: On day 10, you will be guided gently into normal eating again and into replenishing the gut bacteria, after the castor oil flush. The flush helps to change the microbial flora in the body. Once we’ve got the bad stuff out, we replenish the gut with good lactobacillus bacteria. These new bacteria produce more vitamins for the body and help to change body physiology. And we nourish all the tissues and strengthen the body further with gentle superfoods and antioxidant foods.


  • Education – learning about your own metabolism and how best to cleanse and nourish for your metabolic type will be an integral part of the programme.

At the end of the programme, you will meet with Sara for a follow-up consultation. She will prescribe ongoing dietary, herbal and lifestyle protocols for you, so that your body and mind are supported as the rejuvenation process continues for the next month or so. 
This is an important part of the process, helping body and mind rebuild in a healthy and balanced way after the programme.

Ayurveda body treatments are a powerful part of the cleanse and rejuvenation programme. A body treatment programme is, however, optional and can be created for your specific needs. They use powerfully cleansing and rejuvenating medicinal oils, pastes, scrubs, poultices and steam treatments. Please see here for further details on Ayurveda body treatments.

Yoga Therapy Consultation £60.00

Having assessed your physical condition, including musculo-skeletal anomalies, breath capacity, nervous system condition and any physical limitations, we will create a personalised therapeutic Yoga programme for you which will support the benefits of your Ayurveda Rejuvenation Programmme.

Once you have registered your interest in the 1-1 Rejuvenation Programmme, you will be asked to pay an initial deposit of £150.00.

You will then receive a questionnaire and Ayurveda Typing form to complete.

The next step will be to arrange your initial consultation, during which we will agree upon your personalised programme so that it best fits your needs.

I decided to fully embrace the 10 Day Rejuvenation Programme offered by Sara
I prepared by cleaning up my diet and clearing my diary before the detox so that I was fully immersed in the 10 days.
Each day for 5 days I received the most wonderful Ayurvedic Body Treatments (those on their own would be treat enough!).
And at the end of the detox, I did the castor oil cleanse because not doing it wouldn’t have felt complete.
